Good result.
The water level being included in the frame adds to the interest of the conceptual shot.
The B&W conversion is excellent and sharpness top notch.
What's missing is an element of dynamism that would be well suited to the image - i.e. more of the water splashing as if the fist was being thrust out of the water and captured just at the exit point. It would certrainly make it more of a challenge to capture, but that added effect would turn this into a winning image.
Well done.

I'd say it is technically well done, though the lack of visible thumb and fingers makes it an odd subject.

A little more brightness will show the arm with the fist breaking water. More action might be apparent if it were a hand reaching rather than a fist. I trust you took the shot and then immediately rescued the guy. Did he bob up and down for a while till you got ready. LOL

Sparkle - You sure you have your monitor brightness tuned properly? I can see the arm and fist clearly in the shot on this crappy laptop. I notice you complaining about dark shots in this forum. Perhaps it is time to check your monitor brightness?

I just recalibrated it yesterday. It is 11H x 18W. Perhaps there is more ambient light. I will check it again tomorrow. I see the fist clearly and the arm faintly. It may simply be a matter of choice. Thanks.
