Stranger - boy and his dad

I saw these two guys having a lot of fun, and asked for a picture.

c&c welcome.

You got lucky. These two have so much character and expression in their faces.

It's a wonderful photo, wouldn't change a thing.

I believe everyone should try to improve. So I disagree. You could have posed them in a way that the background did not interfere; that the father's coat for example did not blend with the background; that the bricks were not present and that the father was not bent over (perhaps with his boy sitting on his knee). Hope this is of benefit.

Don't you think that the bending over shows affection from a father to a son? At least I do... In this picture it shows some sort of affection and respect. Not all pictures have to be technically perfect to carry a message. This one does.

The only thing that botters me is the bokeh at the right side of the photo... It is too bright for me in comparison to their faces...

Further I love it!

I sorry but I think the spontaneity of the photo is it's charm. I doubt very much you could have posed two strangers, one of them a child, and get the great expressions you did.

So sitting on his father's knee is not showing affection? Professional photographers would be out of business if they could not pose strangers! Is this a Kodak Forum? The questions are rhetorical.
