I think your girlfriend is very pretty and the picture has a lot going for it... the negative space, black sweater, slight show of skin, candle holder and candle light are gorgeous. The problem I have with the photo is your girlfriend appears to be leaning into her hand which pushes her chin out and the angle is not flattering... or maybe, it just takes on too much emphasis. The eyes are looking a bit too too sharply to the right so if I focus on them as you asked, they do not apear as flattering as they should. I love that she is looking over her glasses like that.. Just a slight change in the pose would make this a wonderful portrait in my "lay" opinion.

À mon avis, la photo est très belle, comme c'est votre petite amie espiègle.

I overall like the photo. I agree with a lot of what tessfully said. The one question I have is what is your subject. My eye keeps jumping between the object on the left and your girlfriend. I would try cropping the object out.

Thanks to all for the comment!!

I agree with you kswier about the little cup on the left, I tought that nothing on the left will make this part too empty, pitch black and I'm not a fan of the portrait side pic

tessfully, thanks for the comment !

Gillar blicken du fått fram i bilden. Även ljuset i bilden är härligt. Ett fint porträtt

Love this kind of light. If I were to attempt this, I would have her seated at a table, the tabletop visible and her left hand outstretched to a tea or coffee cup. That way the viewer's eyes would not be interested too much in the familiar tabletop and its contents and should settle more on your subject. And yes, a slight cant of the head toward the camera would remove some of the "sneaky" quality of her gaze.

What a photographer sees and what a lay person sees in a photo are quite different at times. Technical details on one side and pose and look of the subject on the other. Both are important.
