I really like the crow in the first one...great capture. Reminds me of a Bon Iver song.

Heheh.. Which song? I like Bon Iver, tho I wasn't listening to it at the time!

RE:Stacks...when he talks about the black crow sitting across from him...great song. I just really like the balance in the photo with the crow on one side and the lady on the other.

IMHO a little shallower depth of field on the second photo would give a nicer background. Now it seems more like a miss focus/motion blur than background blur.

I love the second one, but I agree if it was a little more out of focus in the background it might accentuate the picture more, but it's still very nice.

Thanks guys! I don't know why I took the photo on the settings I did, a narrow aperture and long shutter speed - I was trying to be quick as the subject was walking towards me. I think I was in P mode, so it was probably just 'green button - click'. Might have to see if I can adjust the defaults in my K10D.
