the only thing I don't like is the plastic blade protector, for some reason i would prefer that area to be emptier (but like the dead leaves).

Thanks for the thoughts all. Interesting that you mention the blade protector as a dislike, as that's one of the elements that I feel helps convey the thought that life is cheap, just like so much garbage that gets tossed out car windows without thinking, even if it is just a bird that's dead.

I also look at this photo in a different way with a different, more positive, title (even if a bit longer)...

The crop job I like on the second one. But, B and W does not work for me here. The vibrant color of the flowers represents life, versus what is on the ground is obvious. Is there a way to turn everything except flowers to black and white??? That would work for me.

it works pretty well...looks like the bird crashed through the flowers and went splat! the movement all stops at the impact
