Landscape Wheat Grass & Poles

I'm looking for comments on my photo. I was attempting to reconcile the natural textures of the wild grass with the industrial background of the utility poles. Really more of a juxtaposition I guess.....Thought s and comments appreciated. Thanks

I appreciate the idea. Trying to say something with your photos is a great way to express your thoughts.

This photo doesn't work for me. The poles are OK but the grass is laying down too much to appear natural. The stalk under the left utility pole is distracting and the twig on the left also pulls the eye.

Here's a crop that feels better to me.

I normally shy away from photos that don't work for me but I saw 160 something views and no comments and wanted you to get some feedback.

Thanks for taking the time and sharing your thoughts. I do agree with your assessment of the twigs on the left, but had you not mentioned it, I would have never noticed.
I suppose with 160 views and no comments, there is pretty good evidence that the photo is not working for allot of people....

I prefer joelovotti's crop.

You might also try cropping down a bit from the top — almost to the top of the top crossbar of the left pole.
