Silhouette at 34 Weeks
Lens: Signma 17-70 Camera: KX Photo Location: home ISO: 400 Shutter Speed: 1/180s Aperture: F5.6

I wanted to try a silhouette of the wife. One strobe behind her pointed at the wall. I didn't have a blue gel so I had to cheat and crank the white balance temp down in PP

Great capture. Might be worth playing around with the hue of the image to create warm backgrounds.

One note. The front of the pants has some sort of a string sticking out. I find it a bit out of place.

Great idea, but it looks a little too flat to me. May be an idea to have some lighting to the side - hair light? - to give some definition on your subject.

Form is of the essence here, so the string is an obvious distractor.
Well done otherwise mate.

Is that really so strange? I mean it's a silhouette right? I'm following the (familiar to me) silhouette of a pregnant woman and then all of the sudden there is something that doesn't belong and disrupts the flow of the round shape. It's just something that's easy to overlook but could have been fixed either at the time of capture or later in PP, both with minimal effort. That's all. I really like this photo and think it could be improved. That's all.

I did ask for a critique. I wasn't offended in the least. If anything it helps bring attention to the details for another shot down the line.

Here's another shot from the same day. Not a silhouette, but 1 flash behind her shooting into the wall and one snooted to her belly. No strings attached.
