This is my first post, i have been looking and reading this site for awhile and decided to post these photos to see how i can improve. Please comment.

Welcome. Not much room for improvement on these. Very nice. I seem to experiment with cropping other people's shots :-) In this case, cropping the bottom of the second shot at the intersection of the diagonal bricks on the right, making it about 2 x 1 format.

Good having you here.
There is some colour artefact in #2 in the sky possibly from your web resizing process.
These are well processed images, however are of relatively bland subject matters. With time you may find yourself automatically looking for more interesting subjects to shoot, but for now you're doing well.

I do see the artifact in the sky. This is not in the original.

Very nice. I think the first is fantastic.

If I were going to change anything I'd say this:

On number one the shed in the upper left sticks out for me and interferes with what I think you want me to focus on which is the boat house. I thought it might look better with the left third of the photo cropped off. The second could possibly benefit from a slight bottom crop as mentioned. Maybe a step back would have brought in more lines (maybe not).
