Abstract Monument

From the summer, each year I take a bike ride out the 9/11 monument in Bayonne, NJ. If you zoom closely, you can see NYC in the background of the reflection.

I would never have guessed that this was a 9/11 monument without your description. However, I think that is related more to the artist's vision than the interesting perspective of your image.

Nicely spotted on your part.

Nice subject and framing. I would return on a blue-sky day, however.

Yes, as SpecialK noted, the white/gray sky flattens the overall feeling of the image. But I also like the way you captured this monument, and I actually had to look a bit longer to see what's going on with the picture.
On the other hand I also like the high contrast look of this photo and the fact that the blue sky is captured on the ball in the middle.
Hmm...
