I am fairly new to "people" photography, with things equine being more my line.

This was a very overcast day giving lovely soft light..

Looking for any C&C thank you

where did you focus on?

I always take single AF point straight on the eye(s). A crisp sharp eye will draw the spectator into the picture.

Good point, being a manual focus lens it is difficult to get spot on, *note to self: practice more !!*

If you want to ensure the camera only takes the photo when the subject is in focus, try the catch focus feature you have in the custom menu of your K-7.
