Ok so I'm really pretty much a newbie at photography. I really enjoy getting out and taking pictures but I'm in no way doubting I could use a lot of improving. That said I want to start posting some photos and see if you guys could help me get better!!
I'm hoping I'm doing this right but heres the original. It is straight from the camera (shot in RAW). I bumped the EV up one stop in UFRAW cause it looked a little dark.
And this is the post processed image. This is very close to what I was envisioning while taking the shot. I really wanted it to seem kind of like an old photo
I'm trying to learn about composure more. I feel like I have a pretty good grasp about the technical aspect of photography (such as ISO, aperture, EV, shutter speeds, etc, etc) I've been trying to learn about dynamic range as well. Such as finding the limits on light to dark areas that will work with the camera so I don't blow out highlights or loose everything in the shadows. Learning to read histograms really helped with that!
