I'll comment on my the one I like the most and the one I like the least. They both happen to be the beach photos.

The Purple hued Wife and Dog is very nice. All the proportions of the photo are just right and both wife and dog are captured in a very pleasing pose. Some will argue that the purple is a bit unnatural but if that's your treatment of the photo then that's fine with me. My only regret is that the sky is blown out in its brightest areas and I'd like to see it pulled back some. Love the shot though.

The gray Misty Day is what I call a good idea. I can see what you are going for but it doesn't work for me. The mood doesn't come through. There are nice elements in the photo but they are not quite working together. Primarily the space behind the woman. I want the driftwood to point you to the woman but with too much space behind her your eye keeps going right past her. On exposure I've had luck with photos like this by not converting to B&W and playing with a desaturated RAW file of just killing selective colors. You can get more drastic with your adjustments without strong colors and bring out the mood you want.

Thanks for sharing.

be well,
joe
