A bursting reflection
Lens: DA 18-55mm Camera: Pentax K-5 Photo Location: Oregon ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: 1s Aperture: F22

I took these photos on the fourth and I think that they came out okay. Any comments?

No 2 is my favorite. How did the brighter spots stay motionless for the starburst effect from the blades of the 18-55?

You know, I don't really know what you mean. I take photos and strive to take good ones but I could always use more technical knowledge. I usually just let my common sense guide me. Would you mind explaining to me?

Shot 2 shows motion except for the 8 bright spots in the pic that have the 6 points typical of shooting towards a stationary bright object with the 6 aperture blades in the 18-55. I'm guessing they were moving slower in the shot. I really like that one btw...

Nice!
My favorites are numbers 1 and 3, with the red reflection in 3 being a contributing factor.
A very minor suggestion: You might want to explore whether the horizon is numbers 1 and 3 tilts a bit and whether you want to adjust that.
Best wishes.

SMC- got it now, thank you! # 2 is my fav also. thanks for the explanation!
SMF- thanks for the suggestion. I've played with the horizon a bit but i could play some more! I do wonder what the light horizontal line is in the horizon is in #2. Firework gone wrong?
