Beckum train station
Lens: A 1:3.5~4.5 28-80mm Camera: K7 Photo Location: Beckum, Germany ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: 1/250s Aperture: F5.6

In a way I like this picture, but I'm not really convinced. What do you think of this shot? What should be improved?

Your shot doesn't really seem to have a focus. In my opinion this could have been to different shots.

A low angle shot looking up at that blue container, including only the floor the container and the sky.

A shallow DOF shot along the metal fence in some way. This way you could see the texture of the rust in contrast to the plants growing around it.

In short, I think you need to try not to capture everything you see and instead find the points of interest in your scene and highlight them.
