Is this photo boring? I like it and the simplistic side, or is it like my wife says, just three birds in the sky...

No, it's very interesting. I like it. It would probably just be 3 birds in the sky, with flare issues, if it were in color. With your great mono conversion it looks cool.

I would view it differently. If you hadn't caught the glint of light on the birds' wings, it would be boring, colour or no. But you did, and that brings action to the picture. Personally, I would crop out the spots on the right, but no further than you had to.

Thanks for the comment, I did originally try to crop them out, just felt the end result didn't feel right. Maybe edit them out.
