A few more beauty images
Lens: 31 Limited and DA* 50-135 and 55 Camera: K7 and K5 Photo Location: Central maine, USA ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: 1/180s

Here are a few more images of Kayla; f/5.6 for the b&w and f/4 for the color, f/6.3 for the studio image.

I know the color image of Kayla at the lake is a bit soft, but I really like the picture.

The lake pictures were taken on one of the last really nice days of the summer.

All were finished in CS4 and OnOne PhotoTools professional 2.6 and/or AlienSkin Exposure 3.

Thank you for your comments.

1 - probably the best, but the wrinkled dress is a little distracting.

2 - watch for the model pressing her arm too hard up against her body, as it makes the back of her arm below the shoulder protrude out.

3 - the angle of her face is pointing downward too much.

I do like the film appearance that Alien Skin can give.

Hi:

Thank you for the comments. I agree on the first with the wrinkled dress, but I used what I had. I do try to catch those small details, but not always. The second one I agree with, as well. A bit of liquify would help, but I really try not to use that. I really love the 3rd one, but I understand your point.

Thank you again.

I have to disagree with K-9 about #3. I think the angle is in part what makes the shot.

When I look at the same model in shot 2 compared to shot 3, she doesn't look anywhere near as attractive in shot 3 as she does in 2. Very nearly looks like a different person, in fact. While the photo isn't bad, that angle for her just doesn't make her look her best.

Thanx so much for your comments. I actually like the second photo a bit better than the 3rd, but really do like the third. The second one is a bit soft, but like may pictures, the technically superior image often is not the most pleasing or creative.

I appreciate everyone's comments.

The first and the third ones look perfect to me as they are. I would put a bit more pop in the second one, perhaps like this:
