B&W on the Oregon Coast
Lens: Sigma 28-70mm f/2.8-5.6 Camera: K20D Photo Location: Newport, Or

Hey there

I thought I might show these here. I just got Nik Silver Efex Pro V2 and thought I might show off some photo reduex that I had posted earlier.

Let me know what you think.

Pentax K20D
Sigma 28-70mm f/2.8-4 Something-Something.
1/25th, f/2.8, ISO 100
Lightroom and Silver Efex Pro - did some harsh maneuvering of the histogram and Boomified the Blacks.

Pentax K20D
Sigma 28-70mm f/2.8-4 Something-Something.
1/10th, f/4.0, ISO 100
Lightroom and Silver Efex Pro - Boomified the Blacks, again, and played some Fill Light back in. (I like the effect that gives) Also played with Silver Efex and its contrast settings.

Pentax K20D
Sigma 28-70mm f/2.8-4 Something-Something.
1/25th, f/11, ISO 100
Lightroom and Silver Efex Pro - Boomified the Blacks, brought it back with some Fill Light and also did some contrast work in Silver Efex.

Pentax K20D
Sigma 28-70mm f/2.8-4 Something-Something.
1/60, ISO 100, f/11
Lightroom and Silver Efex Pro - Really played in LR but when Silver Efex got hold of it, I just used one of the presets because I liked the result so much. Cheating? Easy way out? Maybe, but I liked the result all the same.

Sorry about the "Boomified" thing, but really, I have found that when you take the Blacks up to around 70 - 80, it really makes the image come to life with detail and contrast.

Lovely textures in all of them.
I enjoy the atmosphere and texture of the undergrowth in #1, can imagine being there.

Thanks for sharing.

They look perfect to me. Very tasteful conversions. It is easy to go over the top with this software but you have not. Congratulations for this. Keep them flowing and make a nice album or gallery for us to enjoy.
