Selfportrait
Lens: 18-55WR Camera: K-5 ISO: 80 Shutter Speed: 1/6s Aperture: F5.6

My first attempt on a self portrait. Exif might be a bit strange, because I had the camera in the wrong setting, but I think it turned out nice.
Used a tri-pod and the build-in flash with a diffuser and a little photoshop to get this result:

Any C&C is welcome...

I like it very much.

The 90 degree profile works for me. It is a definite look.

I like how the hat fads away.

I might tone down the cheekbone a bit. The fact that its central to the photo gives it a bit of a bullseye look.

Thanks for sharing,
joe

I would have the light source somewhere further to the right. As the light is now, coming directly from behind the camera makes the portrait look a little flat - a little like when you use the in-build flash (edit: I only just noticed that you did use the in-build flash). It will be the light that brings this portrait a bit more to life.

Thnx for the comments. Flash is indeed a bit hard on the cheek, next time I'll try to use a extra tungsten light-source. For the fading of the hat, I used photoshop and added some vignette.
I wasn't that much into portraits, but trying this sure makes me want to do more. Think the first thing I want to buy is a good flash...
