I really like this image. Unfortunately we rarely get mist in my part of the world.

An image that could be interesting, but comes across rather muted.

The house in the center is, perhaps, too centered.

A polarizing filter may have helped cut thru the haze.

A curves adjustment could really bring out the yellows/reds while darkening the green trees for additional contrast. I can make a quick edit if you'd like.

Hi Mike,
have a free hand. I really interested in your solution! In a society photographer whose I am a member, the photo we gave "younger" members to be processed. I can say I was surprised by "friendly" against some solutions!

Looking at the histogram, all the data is bunched in the middle. No real blacks, no real whites. That lack of contrast is common during cloudy skies.

I made a slight crop, and increased contrast via levels and curves.

I also had to add some noise reduction - shadows were very noisy for ISO 200. Did you brighten the exposure before posting?

Villagian the early morning

Hi Mike!
Since he is photographing exclusively in RAW format, attach compressed and reduced the original. I am done the basic processing in Adobe Bridge.
With regard to noise at ISO 200, I am also very surprised because it was a very nice autumn morning with lots of sunshine?
On the newly attached photos riots treatment according to their wishes, so I can then choose to "talk"!
Regards Velja
