The exposure is about as close as you'll get, maintaining sufficient shadow detail without completely blowing out the snow. Knowing that, I would boost the shadows and midtones to get some more detail in the dog's coat and eyes. It is perhaps a little soft - the kit lens is a bit sharper stopped down to F/8.

As for the composition, the subject is a bit too centered and there is a lot of dead space to the left. Cropping it tighter would help, but if you were to shoot it again, I'd try to use the upper-left focus point on the dog's eye for a more compelling image.
