As with most portrait shot;s one of the most important things is the background, you don't want plants or trees ect, growing out of people's head's. Otherwise it's a fine image.

I agree about the background. Also, I think I'd prefer sharper focus on the boys' eyes.

Shooting this shot at f/2.8 is asking to have some minor focus problems, as the kids aren't equidistant to the camera. I'd guess f/4 should be your starting point.
