Feather on Flower
Lens: Sigma 105 Macro Camera: Pentax K10D Photo Location: Umatilla, Oregon ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: 1s Aperture: F8

This shot is totally staged. I have been doing some stuff with macro and flowers inside the house. I have also been trying to photograph some fine feathers in a way that makes them look appealing. Mostly they just look like unintersting feathers. So I placed one of these feathers on a dianthus flower and started shooting.

The shutter speed was actually 1.5 seconds and the lens is the one I stated, but I have a cheap 2x teleconverter with the glass taken out. put between the lens and the camera body as a sort of macro tube.

I just want to know if others think it has some eye appeal.

Thank you!

Something different! Like the colors and the blur in the background. Well done!

A very unique picture indeed. It is sharp, good colors, interesting composition. I like it.
