Sort of like this, but wish I knew of a way to lose the reflected light off it's very shiny body.

Any CC or suggestions welcome.

the body is shiny, so it will reflect light. Don't worry about it it belongs there, very nice shot

You could try using a diffuser over the flash or bounced flash.

Thank you all for looking and commenting.

Bruce, I used a diffuser plus further diffused through a piece of plastic milk container, and bounced it off the underside of the leaves above the frog.

As Macario said, it is shiny so it will reflect light.
