Hello,

I'm new on this forum I'm looking for tips concerning macro photography. I just shot this dandelion with my new lens yesterday and I'll appreciate your feedback about my settings. Exif data is there so please feel free to comment. I did use a tripod but forgot to remove the antishake feature of my K-5. The sun was high in the sky and I was back to it. No editing was apply just a simple jpg without any enhancements. Thanks in advance!

Since you had a tripod, I'd have dropped to something like 1/100 to bump up to a much smaller aperture to give you as big a depth of field as possible. There is nothing wrong with this image, but also nothing to make it stand out (which is try of a lot of dandelion images - I took a few myself on Sunday when I had nothing else to point the camera at).

Thank you MSL for your comment. I did try to capture insects but they are too fast for me
