Happy Couple
Lens: SMC Pentax-A 50mm f/1.7 Camera: Pentax K-x Photo Location: Elizabeth Park Trenton, MI ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: 1/150s Aperture: F4

Another shot from the Prom shoot. My cousin and his friend goofing off.

I was shooting Through an Umbrella instead of Bouncing so the shadows are a little harsher than I would have liked. Other than that the shot came out 90% as I intended it too.

Tough shot with the contrasting outfits and skin tones, so yes, I'd say you've done very well.

@MSL

Thanks, this shot wasn't really planned otherwise I would have brought in another flash to fill it and put it right beside me pointing at them.

Yikes, a white suit and a very dark suit under shade and dappled with sunlight. A very tough shot to light properly. Better you than me else it would have been 10% instead of 90%. Very good shot under those circumstances!

I think I would have moved them a little to the left and back, to get out of the mud immediately behind them - as there is a great shadow zone there that could be manipulated with your flash(es). As others have said, dark complexion in a white suit and light complextion in a dark suit are very difficult along with shadows. Otherwise, it's pretty good. Oh and the subject matter? Two guys at a prom? Awesome! Definitely cool to see.
