Just for the hell of it I signed up to Fotolia and submitted one photo of a Rose. Rejected - reason given "Fotolia has received an overwhelming supply of high quality images of this nature." and a link to explanation that was totally not relevant to the issue. Elsewhere on their site I did find a note to the effect that they do not want images of nature, flowers, family pets and so on. Looking at the latest acceptances and best sellers, I see, heavily featured, the types of photographs I have no desire to produce.
Time to find an agency more attuned to my interests if such a one exists.
