I'd crop the top and bottom and make it a landscape orientation.

I'd crop it square for best fit. If I were printing to hang, it would either be square, or at least 4:5 (for an 8x10 frame) with the top lost. IMHO except with very vertical subjects, 4:5 is the best aspect for portrait orientation.

Hairs are quivering. Goosebumps are rising. I am being considered as a meal. That's a beauty! A 30cm / 12in print in a 50cm / 20in matted frame hung at eye-level in your entry hall will result in a wet floor as unawares visitors piss themselves.

Just like JessesDad but even closer so just the first loop of the body is barely outside the frame on each side.
I would want that creepy "snake in your face" look.

Mainly the bright area in the right detracts from the snake's head and eyes, which are what you really want the person to look at (or shriek away from -- depending how they feel about snakes) :-) So crop that out of the frame, or at least darken it down in post to not be forced into being the main point of focus.

Thanks guys (: I learned a lot.

@SpecialK Thank you sir, I'll try that on my other shot of this guy in landscape orientation.

@Jessesdad very nice.

@RioRico hahah that made me laugh XD

@amoringello I'll try to mess with it on post, one with the tighter crop and one with darker.

@cupic I have another picture of this guy on a landscape orientation that I would love to try that to (: thanks.

I think it is fine as it is although I think it needs a little more depth of field.

I like the last crop the best. I seem to notice the like colors more. Also, the contrast between whats in focus and not is more attractive.

I'd probably go something like this in postprocessing.

Ditto on that last one. I agree. That's how I would have done that. In fact I did before I got to the last post. See? Teach me not to read all the replies, laugh. :P

Like the last crop. Maybe the main focus point (head/eyes/mouth)) could have been a tint sharper. Otherwise cool pic!
