First time shooting a non sports photo
Lens: Sigma 1:2.8-4.5 24-135mm Camera: Pentax K-X Photo Location: Peacock Park AZ

I am so used to Action / Sports shots I thought I'd give something else a try just to see how my camera held up. Please critique on what I could do to make these better. I choose the angles and poses, and tried to be as creative as possible. Thanks guys!

Shot 3 could do with some fill light on the face to bring out her features, the last pic I would crop close as the vents are distracting and just the bricks as the background would focus all the attention on the model. #2 looks a little awkward because of the crinkles in her dress I think. Having the material taught would accentuate her lovely curves. Just my 2c! Good work!

Yuo might want to do some Post processing too to make the model stand out and also fix the exposure.
You can do a lot with PP, even blur background or just highlight a certain part of the photo.

That's good that you are learning 'coz PP is a part of making good images more-so if you are shooting RAW.
Keep it up, you've got nice shots that just need a bit of tweaking and practice.. Good work nonetheless. =)

what he just said. Great model. I think with her you should definitely crop close, she has very nice tattoos and her skin color is very even. Backgrounds are over rated.

IMHO you need to show the complete lassie, in every shot her feet are either missing or very tightly cropped on the edge, get a little extra space around her.

But hey a bonnie lassie, I forgive you.
