Nothing fancy, but I like it. How to...
Lens: A 35-105/3.5 Camera: K-7 ISO: 200 Shutter Speed: 1/350s Aperture: F8

improve?

I would like to keep it as natural as possible, I like brightness...how do you like it?

and for this one, I turned it upside down. Does it say anything?

feel free to comment.

could use more contrast and color.
the reflection in the water shows a nice blue sky with clouds, so you better walked to the other side of the lake to avoid shooting with too much backlight.

The 2nd one shows an apartment building reflected, but i find it too much cropped, too dark and composition too weak. Maybe you should have taken a part of the building in your photo

#1 is a nice composition, the receding trees on the left nicely balanced by the rising line of trees on the far shore. Very hazy and I suspect there's direct light hitting the lens; sometimes a hood is not enough and an additional shade (such as hat or hand) helps. For me this is a natural candidate for B&W conversion; the color isn't really adding to the composition nor is it particularly interesting or attractive in itself.

#2 is an interesting and creative image. The little bits floating on the water surface detract from the surrealistic effect of the reflected submerged pier seeming to float in the sky; they look easy to clone out.

Thank you for comments.
Good Ideas Baro-nite.
I shall try B&W with first cloning out artifacts...I'll try that too. Let's see.

the BW version is indeed the best option, very nice.
the 2nd one I thought it was an apartment.......hmmm, pushed the colors, but imo too abstract. Not much recognition.
You cloned out the floating thing, but something else floating on the water surface would have worked

The second photo is the most interesting one.
Nothing needs to be definite for it to be a "good" image.

it may be an interesting one but not composed very well. Looks like it is shot upside down. It doesnt look natural to me.
that pier could be photoshopped in the image later

Thanks for comments, and yea, that is upside down. Pier is under water...must think of how to make same effect. 'manipulating' itthrough PS, is not possible.
