Misc New Lens

Trying out my new 50mm f/1.8 lens. I've taken to using an ND-8 filter for daylight shots, especially near the water.

Congratulations with your purchase!!!!
I am sure are enjoying playing with it, like of all of us when the new toy is bought...

Regarding the pictures...something did not work well...Red is a tough lady to shoot...for that picture I would recommended you to focus on the pistils...
on the other pictures - too much shadows and they look a little bit grayish and underexposed...probably it's due to the filter...

Thanks for the insight. I did notice later that I had my camera set for spot metering. That probably didn't help.
