Rose (Part 2)

Since Kim told me that she liked the rose shot I posted her her thread better than the one I posted here, I thought I'd try something a bit diferent. Please, if you view this thread just pick the shot you like best. No need to leave comments if you dont want to. But C&C would be appriciated.

The second (fullest) one. Texture is clearer, without distraction

I prefer the first shot where it appears to be more elegant and the leaf compliments the subject

I also prefer the first, the single leaf is much more interesting than multiple leaves of the third, I also like the darker background better, the second phot othe background is not black enough generally overexposed.

It would have been better though to have the leaf attached to the stem, nopt just floating in air.

31 views but only 9 votes. Tough crowd.

thanks to all who voted and left comments.

I have been using my K10D since July. Before that I was just using a Point and Shoot. Its hard learning all this photo stuff and us beginers look to those who are more experienced for some assistance. Its a good learning experience when those who are better at something point out your strengths and weaknesses.

To those who left comments, thanks again for taking the time to help me and all us beginners with our photography ventures.

I also like the first shot best. I agree completely with Lowell Goudge on this one.

1st shot for me... nice crop, and perfect exposure! Though the leaf looks awkward. Floating, as Lowell Goudge mentioned. But the colors are beautiful, proper exposure made the subject "pop" and colors vibrant!
