here's an attempt to make something out of nothing... a bunch of ordinary bicycles at a store front. Photo taken with K-01, B&W mode.

In-camera P&W JPEG, PP'd in both Sylkypix DS Pro5 and Xara Photo & Graphic Designer 2013 to create this selective focus effect.

I agree you may be trying to make something out of nothing here. Black and white might be the only way to go. Before playing with selective focus you may want to consider cropping. The bicycle in the middle is really interesting looking but the mountain bike on the right outright ugly. I might see what it looks like without it in frame.

Selective focus and vignette techniques can further shift the focus away from the ugly mountain bike on the left which I don't believe you will be able to crop.

I'm sure you know you'd be better off looking for a better angle or waiting for some of the ugly bikes to be moved to begin with. Maybe you'd get lucky and the middle bike owner would come out and you could get some candid shots of him / her doing something interesting with the vintage bike. But sometimes we it's worth playing the hand you're dealt just to see how much it can be made worth

Best,

-Q

Tx qleak for the suggestion. Here a crop, and I further blurred the background to remove the emphasis on the mountain bike...

#2 works best for me since the treatment removes most of the nasty distracting reflections from the windows.
