Can not say how to improve it. Just a couple of questions is it a HDR photo? The photo confuses me as the foreground is focused and the background, but middle ground is out of focus. Was it a windy day when it was taken and the foliage was moving about?

I like it as presented, but I am distracted by the intensity of the white foliage to the right of the angel. (That's the foliage both immediately behind the statue and also lower, in the more distant background.
Best wishes.

This is an IR image. It was a windy day which blurred the foliage in the middle ground.

I have burned some of the bright foliage and blurred the background. What do you think?

Statue is pretty well dead centre which is a bit of a compositional no-no. Using rule of thirds, I would move the statue to the left and leave some open space for the angel to look down into.

Beautiful image. I agree that putting the subject a bit farther left in the frame would have given more space for the angel to "look down into". I find myself wishing the face of the angel were brighter. Perhaps some dodging here may work out.
