I took this one during my first walk with the 50mm.
I had to crouch quite low to get that perspective (remove everything that looked like a city from the background) and have only sky and that tree.

Please give me your thoughts on this.

I applaud that you crouched to get an interesting image. And I like the detail in one of the steps. However, I wish the foreground wasn't quite so dark. A higher ISO probably would have allowed you to have the tree branches in sharper focus. (That's because you could have then selected an aperture giving greater depth of field.) If wind made the leaves blurry, perhaps a higher ISO could have allowed you to stop action. Or perhaps you wanted the apparent motion.

In this case the aperture was chosen on purpose, since it was about testing the possibilities of the 50mm.
I would like to go there again though to try to lighten it up a bit.
Also since it was already close to sunset, so time was running too short to try more versions.

Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated.

Ok, brilliant you found where to post your images.

IMHO, this image is under exposed by about 1.5 of stops, if shot originally in RAW you will be able to pull it back in PP, without any artefacts in the sky becoming apparent.

This now b&w image, could still do with a extra contrast and the shadow information being pulled out, as there is a lot of lost detail in the actual stonework of the steps, which is actually there.
