hi all

i don't get the chance to take portraits very often. this photo was for linkedin:



and this one won't be used, but it was liked too




constructive criticism and pointers welcome

post was just LR; the second finished off with VSCO film.

I like the top one better. From a distance it looks like a Sargent painting. Perfect backdrop. Yes, the bottom one is interesting, but the subject doesn't look as comfortable as he does in the other. The pose looks strained, as if he is obviously posed like that after direction.
