Nice choice of subject, nice weathering and shapes to be quite interesting.

My Critisisms:

1. Image is a bit too close, the left edge is cut off and it just looks a little rushed.

2. Looks to be taken from normal standing height and zoomed in a bit? the viewpoint doesn't seem to add a great deal of interest, try and pick a viewpoint that people don't often look from. Squat down maybe?

3. The tree and road are a bit distracting, (more so the road)

4. Subject is dead centre and filling the frame, not a particularly interesting composition.

Suggestions:

1. Perhaps if you took the photo from further away, on the road side of the machine, it appears that there may be a large field to it's left? if so you may be able to frame it so that the machine is in the shot with a field behind it. This would remove the road and tree and also add some context to the shot (plough, field)

2. the above would also allow some experimenting with composition, try a few different ones and see which you like (don't be afraid to have the plough only as a small part in the overall image, depending on the starkness of the field it may well be the focus still)

3. Try adding a little more contrast or sharpness to bring out the textures of the rust a little more.

Personally I think it would work quite well as a black and white, or even with most of the colours desaturated to help emphasise the vintage look of the machine.

Overall, it's a nice subject, that depending on what's around (buildings, trees, fences) could be quite easily made into a wonderful farmscape.

Old? that looks pretty high tech compared to some of the stuff I've got lying around here.
