People Newbie with a flash, looking for advice and ideas!

A friend let me photograph him today so I made the most out of it and like the results.

The first one is really neat. I like the reflection off of the glasses, and the shadows are neat.

I really like the first one with the reflections. Try to experiment a bit with contrast to make those glasses pop-out!
