Ducks at docks
Lens: 18-135 WR DA @ 88mm Camera: K5 Photo Location: Yarmouth, Nova Scotia ISO: 200 Shutter Speed: 1/60s Aperture: F5.6 

Pictures of ducks taken at sunset.
Quality of picture is lost in compression

Can anyone tell me why i loose so much color when i post pictures?
I mean, this is very different from the one i see on my computer :|

Lots of reasons. . .what color space is the image that you posted here? Anything other than sRGB will look off.
And is your monitor calibrated with a hardware device? What is your hardware and software setup?
How much jpeg compression are you applying to posted images? Was the original RAW or jpeg?

Image was proRGB from LR.
Original was a Raw, converted to JPEG then compressed. the picture on my PC looks fine. Once uploaded it looks faded.
Thus why i wonder. I posted the same image on facebook and it was great. :|

ProRGB color space is only appropriate for development. It is mostly a theoretical color space unrenderable by websites and printers. You should export the image in sRGB for web posts always.
My guess is that you are not working in a color managed environment, so there will be a lot of inconsistency among all your apps and browsers in how stuff looks.

Ooooh so i use ProSRGB until final postprocess and export to sRGB .. if i understood right
Ill try it right away!
