Just a random image I discovered today from last year. Looking for some critique because I feel like I almost have something here.

It gives me an odd feeling. And that's good!

From being up and down upon these people it has me feeling sinister. There is some power or presence in this view point that gives me some power or control over those I'm looking down upon. I feel candid, and cheeky and somewhat hidden from their understanding.

I suppose its the gothic(ish) structure with the shadows and interesting crumbling detail that helps feel that sinister vibe I'm getting. Maybe I've just been watching to many spy movies. :P

Still. What were you trying to present in this image?

I simply awaited the 3 openings to be occupied by sightseers. That's it.

Yes but in doing that, waiting for them, what were you trying to communicate?

I guess the picture works or not if it passes on to the viewer what you had imagined initially.

Where are you? Rome?

I'd have liked the pic better if only the guy on the right had been standing there, but I'm not sure why. Fantastic ruin. An example of why B&W is sometimes better than color. I like it.

Yes! The shot was taken in Rome

**EDIT** my mistake, it was taken somewhere in Athens

Of course Romans conquered the Greeks. I believe that the use of the arch is Roman. That'd date the structure bout 100BC I think.
