So shooting a reflection in water I was very surprised to see the depth of the sky change, along with the angles of the subject from what I'm guessing must be difference in height of the bank. The image bows around the bottom corners as if it was shot with a mild fish eye, the sky remains dark as the depth of the water increases further away from the bank, and yet there is still clarity in the trees and leaves, bank etc etc.

Anyway, I was interested (before giving the game away) if the first response was of it not being a reflection. This spot on the river could be an interesting place to explore if its mildly convincing :P

Oh, its a reflection? I wouldn't have known. I thought you were using polarizers and darkening blues in post. It does kind of look like IR or filtered bw. Very cool

Yeah the bottom right corner gives it away. And yes the darkness is just the depth of the water changing. Fin times
