Had the chance to take some shots of animals up in the arctic...
let me know how I could improve...

A somewhat busy background on #1 that you can't do much about after the fact perhaps, but I'd crop some off the top for a little better balance.

Sometimes you only have one shot, so the rail or whatever that wood is in #2 might be unavoidable, though distracting.

I agree with the background on #1 being too busy. Maybe zoom out a bit or not crop as close, or show more scenery around the animal and off-set him a bit more from the center. The second one is nice, just the board or rail is in the shot.

right on. Thanks a lot. I cropped the picture with the hare. Unfortunately I can't do anything about the background of the other picture. It's pretty much the way I took it, regarding cropping. I had the chance to take some more pictures tho, with a nicer background.
