Still attempting the perfect Sunset
Lens: Pentax 16-45 mm Camera: Pentax K-r Photo Location: Seychelles ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: 1/125s Aperture: F8 

Yet another sunset in the Seychelles. Comments welcome....

Well, for landscape shots like these its important that the horizon is level and that the sky isn't blown out while the foreground is still exposed right. A variable ND filter and longish exposure could help you out. A good white balance setting for when shooting sunsets is CTE.
But I think you did really well. The composition works, the mountains and sunshine with clouds in the back, the beach and subject in front, sea in between. Focus seems to be done right, with almost everything being in focus and sharp. The only problem might be the grey-ish clouds in the top left corner, they could have a little more contrast. But honestly, sunset photography is much harder that it seems at first and this is a good shot with good processing

It would look better if I were there...Not in the photo mind you, just there with a tropical drink and a beach chair...

I have to agree with everything Na Horuk wrote. Sunsets are usually tricky and there is often no single "correct" exposure. A grad ND filter would certainly help. One thing I did notice is a small spot in the water directly above the boy's head. It may be a spot on your lens or sensor or something floating in the water. In any event it catches the eye and should be cloned out.
