I like it except for the half/quarter tree on the right side. Cropped out it would look better.

Title aside, it is hard to determine what the subject of this photograph is. The majority of the shot is of the sky, followed by the grasses in the bottom third of the frame. The barn is about 10% of the photograph and shot too far away to be of visual importance and interest.
Get closer.

A competent decent shot but...

I know that country. Right in the heart of of what was once the tall grass prairie. As it is that shot could have been taken almost anywhere in the Midwest. Nothing wrong with that but I can't help but think it would have been more successful if you could have backed up a bit and captured more Nebraska and less barn.

But I wasn't there so maybe that's all you had to work with.

Nice light and colours but the composition is wrong for me. Needs either more sky or more field, use the rule of thirds - place the barn either a third from the top or a third from the bottom, or with these lovely colours you could move it a quarter from top or bottom. Same for distance from the edges. I'd have moved to the right a bit as the shaded side of the barn detracts from the overall shape and colour, and a bit of free space to the left so the sky and golden field meet would be nice. Good eye for colour and light , but look at the overall effect more. Just my opinion

Also the composition the issue here. 1/3 and 2/3 rule to apply here would make it an awesome pic. My 2cents!

I would crop off about 1/2 the sky, which is too plain.

I like it... Yes, you could crop a little of the sky, but I'm not sure I would. Then you'd have the horizon line closer to the middle.
I like the colours and for me it conveys an impression of the barn nestled in its landscape.

Some photographs just need "Simpson's clouds" behind them,

Hi Rmagers,

I think it' a great shot!
I do not agree at all with the above opinion and I think a lot of the comments are missing the whole point......."context"!

Please correct me if I am wrong, but it is precisely the grass, trees and sky which give context to the Barn.
The Great Plains are known for their expansiveness and so too the wide open skies.

I love the way the grass rises up to the Barn and the Barn is put into context by the environment it sits in.

Love it just the way it is!

Miguel, you are correct. That was what drew me to the scene. I do agree with cropping out the little tree on the right. I don't think it added anything yet drew attention to it. Thank you very much for your comments.
