That is because 'that damn spot' is a focal point on men's retina - no matter where is it placed on the actual photo :P

Congratulations. Well produced images, especially #1.
The lantern prop was a good idea.
The only aspect bothering me about these images is the dizzying bokeh. I guess that is typical of the Helios, but it does distract me from appreciating the beauty of the subject.
Well processed image and nicely composed in #1 and #3.
#2 seems to be an image focusing more on the grand magnitude of the tree than the pretty model. A horizontal crop would have brought her out more in the image.

Nice work! Love that Helios lens (so distinct)! I also like the use of the lantern as a prop as well as the leaves in the hair. All nice touches.
