This kind of gloomy style isn't everyone's cup of tea and viewing on white isn't ideal either, so I'd be interested in reaction. A sprig of flowers unwatered for a month and illuminated by candlelight. I originally did a more conventional looking 4 by 6 version, cloning out the little flower lower left, but then I decided it added something.

I like it, I shoot macro flora and sell a lot of my work and this pic low key is one of my faves,shows not every Macro requires ring flash..reflectors etc.Well done

PS.leave flower in, it balances the frame.

Almost an homage to the many animated female Disney villains (Cruella Deville, Cinderella,etc) and Fantasia likenesses. The hovering leer at the withered blossom is a powerful form of personification.
