Naked Lilly.

A naked lilly first flowering for the season. Is the PP overdone? any thoughts, much appreciated.

The post processing is fine in my opinion. It's a very nicely done shot.
I can't tell if this is just the resolution of the image but possibly using a wider aperture could lead to more of the flower being in focus.

I like it, after looking for a few minutes the only thing even a little bit that I don't like is the little green thing on the bottom right below the last flower.

Thanks very Much Mikemike, the shot was pulled down 3 stops or something like that, the dark background is just shadow see of pic for real scene, must have missed the green tinge. thanks again.

This type of pic needs to be as sharp as possible. That's where a tripod can be your friend because it allows you to fine tune things. I could be wrong, but I'm guessing this was hand-held.

Yes, these where all hand held with OS off, Sigma 70-200, SR on. had to take the opportunity as it was presented. Was a bit breezy on the day. Thanks , for your tip regarding the tripod.

Gorgeous flowers.. really like the placement.. especially of the top flower -- it is as if it is looking up towards the light. :c )

I agree it is a little soft. I'd invest in some sharpening software... A good one won't make your photos 'tack' sharp, but will get them rather close to it and bring out a lot of detail in the petals. (I like the Nik effects suite myself)

Personally, I like the subtle softness of the image.

Somehow, it emphasizes the daintiness of the petals.

Glad to help, I guess just clone it out before pulling it down and it should be pretty well removed without artifacts.

Cannot pick it up as not seeing it? hmm I see it too. Looks to be a blade of grass perhaps? One of those long, thin, rounded, stem-y kinds of grass blades.

Maybe look at the brighter (original?) version of the image in this thread you posted.. that green line from bottom tip of the lowest flower to a 45 degree angle towards the right side of the photo.
