Help
Lens: 50mm Camera: k200d Photo Location: Niagara Falls ISO: 50 Shutter Speed: 1/20s Aperture: F5.6

I don't know where else to post this, but I need some help. A friend's mother is in this photo and she would like me to improve it. My problem is it's made of tiny dots, so when you enlarge it you can see them, can anyone help in trying to minimise the effect.

Thanks.

I would be willing to have a go at it but would you post your best quality file somewhere we could download it.
Working with a screen-dump just wouldn't cut it.

Thanks Wildman, here's a link to Flickr Rachel's Family - a set on Flickr

I hope that works. I'd appreciate knowing what process you use as well

Thanks again.

That's not any better.

I was thinking of a 300 dpi scan directly off a scanner.
As it is there just isn't much there to work with.
It could be a bit better as is but it would remain pretty muddy.

I scanned it at 600dpi. If you can tell me where I can send it I'll be more than happy to.

Thanks anyway.

I found a tutorial on line, basically blur it 'till the dots join, then sharpen it, works reasonably well!
