I like the second photo a lot better. the lower saturation give a more natural gold. Very beautiful picture and location.

The first one is really good, but the second is just amazing! I really love it, every single time i've checked the post, it just seems to get better. Great job
I think the higher contrast and lover saturation was what made it so much better, i didn't really notice the slightly unstraight horizon.

thanks guys....figure ill turn the tv off and put an hour into it on saturday now that i kinda know what i want{start from scratch} ....ill post it when im done

Like I said earlier - still Wow!!

The first one grabbed me by the ... and hauled me into the scene . This version is equally powerful, but in a more mature and contemplative way - it seems less raw. It also feels more finished and professional. There is a traditional Japanese, balanced quality that is very appealing.

Like I said before, I don't know enough yet to tell you why, but I know an image that moves me when I see it.

there seems to be a change in image when i convert to jpg??
anyhow this is what ive come up with as near {or} final for now----------->unless you convince me to do it again lol

You've nailed it! It's an amazing shot that would make every author proud...
I think the crop works better, certainly...
I'd be tempted to crop it even more - to crop out the big blotch of reflection (the first from the bottom) just to see how it would compare, but I really like it as it is now, too...
