In the woods
Camera: K5ii

Took a few on a recent hike and welcome feedback on how to make them better. I wish the dog was not in the shadow on the first one. Any advice on anything, aside from being a little boring?

This isn't the type of photography I do most often.

all very nice and the greens look great.
the first one is tough because of the strong light on the path which is a distraction. I didnt know there was a dog until i read that. better to take the shot under full canopy of tree filter for a more even frame.
second shot is very interesting in the DOF you've selected. i like that.
#3 waterfall is very nice. i find myself wanting to see more of the scene to the right. where is that water going? etc.
#4 A very relaxing shot. serene and no implied motion. the OOF leaves are a little dominant for me but nice effect overall

Go to filehippo.com and download Picasa for free. Then you can simply add , under "edit" a bit of light. Everything can be undone if necessary.

Are you saying that because the dog is a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever?

I use Lightroom. I didn't do a lot of post processing on these and probably won't There's nothing here that I'm trying to make anything out of, especially, just learn from others for next time. Those photos are a good example of some things that I feel pretty good about, mixed with things that I realize could be better executed. I'm getting better all the time. This forum is very helpful.

Any time I post pictures here I'm looking for an interested in any feedback I can get.
