Two from the garden today

We finally had some rain! I'm open to any ways I can improve. Thanks.

I really like the rose. The petals almost look like they're made from cloth -- very cool. I feel that the second flower has the largest part (kind of the foreground) out of focus, so it's tough for my eye to be drawn to the smaller part that is in focus. I think that if the top of the flower was larger, the affect wouldn't be so distracting to my eye, as I usually appreciate shots with foreground blur.

I had some problem with that when I was cropping the red flower. I really like the focus at the top but there just wasn't enough there and I really liked the way the bottom part of the flower flowed out of the top but then there was the focus issue. What to do.... I will try another angle. The rose has a very soft drape and I liked the feel of it too! Thanks so much for your comments.
